A quick, creamy, and protein-packed smoothie made with simple ingredients like peanut butter, banana, and protein powder. Ready in 5 minutes, it tastes like a milkshake but keeps you full for hours.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1 medium banana, peeled and frozen solid
  • 1 scoop (about 30 grams) vanilla or unflavored protein powder
  • 1 cup milk of choice (oat, almond, or whole milk)
  • ½ cup ice (optional, for extra cold and thick smoothie)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add liquid first: Pour 1 cup of milk into the blender.
  2. Add the peanut butter: Spoon in 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. If thick, microwave for 10 seconds to soften.
  3. Add the protein powder: Scoop in 1 serving of protein powder. If using unflavored, add ½ teaspoon vanilla extract now.
  4. Add the frozen banana: Break the frozen banana into a few chunks and add to the blender.
  5. Add ice (if using): Toss in ½ cup of ice for a thicker, colder smoothie.
  6. Blend on low, then high: Start on low speed for 10 seconds, then increase to high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  7. Check consistency: If too thick, add a splash more milk and blend. If too thin, add more ice or another frozen banana chunk and blend.
  8. Pour and enjoy: Pour into a glass and drink immediately.

Notes

For best results, use a frozen banana for creaminess. If you don’t have a frozen banana, use a fresh banana plus ½ cup of ice. The smoothie is best fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours. To freeze, pour into ice cube trays and blend with a splash of milk later.
