These mummy hot dogs are a fun, quick, and easy Halloween snack made with just three ingredients. Wrapped in crescent roll bandages with mustard eyes, they’re the perfect spooky but not scary finger food for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-count) package hot dogs
  • 1 (8-count) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Mustard (yellow or honey mustard) for eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the perforated seams together to form a solid rectangle.
  3. Cut the dough lengthwise into thin strips, about 1/4-inch wide (about 10-12 strips per sheet).
  4. Wrap each hot dog with a strip of dough, slightly overlapping, leaving a small gap at the top for the face and the ends exposed for feet. Do not wrap too tightly.
  5. Place wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Optional: Brush with egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon water) for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool for 2-3 minutes on the baking sheet.
  9. Using a toothpick or small piping bag, dot two small mustard eyes onto the exposed hot dog at the top.

Notes

For best results, do not overwork the dough. Leave space between mummies on the baking sheet. Use a toothpick for precise mustard eyes. Assemble up to 24 hours in advance (without eyes) and refrigerate. Reheat in oven or air fryer, not microwave.
