A quick and easy Halloween mocktail that comes together in minutes with simple ingredients. This vibrant purple drink looks like it came straight from a cauldron and is perfect for parties, kids, or a festive night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups lemonade, chilled
  • 2 cups blue sports drink (e.g., Gatorade Frost Glacier Freeze or Powerade Arctic Freeze), chilled
  • 1 cup purple grape juice, chilled
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7Up), chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional garnishes: gummy worms, plastic spiders, black licorice sticks
  • Optional dry ice (for dramatic effect, handle with care)

Instructions

  1. Chill all ingredients overnight or in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  2. Fill a large pitcher or punch bowl with about 4 cups of ice.
  3. Pour 4 cups of chilled lemonade over the ice.
  4. Add 2 cups of blue sports drink. Do not stir yet.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of purple grape juice. Watch the colors swirl.
  6. Stir gently for about 10 seconds until the color is uniform.
  7. Add 2 cups of lemon-lime soda and stir once or twice gently.
  8. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if desired.
  9. Pour into glasses filled with fresh ice, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
  10. Add garnishes like gummy worms, plastic spiders, or black licorice sticks.

Notes

For best results, chill all ingredients overnight. If making ahead, mix everything except the soda and ice, then add them just before serving. For a slushie version, blend all ingredients with 3 cups of ice. For an adult cocktail, add 1-2 ounces of vodka, white rum, or gin per serving. Use large ice cubes or an ice ring to slow dilution.
